Started in 1950 on a small farm in the northwest region of the U.S., Lamb Weston has grown to be one of the world’s largest frozen potato companies, happily delivering the delicious goodness of fries to more than 100 countries. While their growth has been remarkable, they’ve never forgotten where they came from. They see things differently–just like their founder, Gilbert Lamb, did back in 1950. Amazing what a little ambition and a lot of hard work can do.

In 1961, Lamb Weston officially entered the domestic potato processing market with the construction of a new processing plant in American Falls, ID. Over the next 10 years, the company would develop additional processing plants in Connel, WA; Quincy, WA; and Hermiston, OR.

In 2016 Lamb Weston began trading as a public company on the NYSE under the symbol LW.
