Dennis Food Service, a 100% employee-owned foodservice distributor serving New England, is seeking a Corporate Chef to join our team.
This is a unique opportunity to work directly with our customers and vendor partners to drive culinary innovation, create engaging content, and provide expert guidance across our diverse range of customer businesses.
As our Corporate Chef, you will be a customer-facing representative of Dennis Food Service, demonstrating and supporting our company’s expertise and passion for foodservice. You will work out of our on-site professional test kitchen and your primary responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
- Create innovative recipe concepts, menu ideas, and culinary strategies that showcase our extensive product offerings, with a focus on maximizing value and return on investment for customers.
- Create engaging multimedia content, including videos, social media posts, and blog articles, to share your culinary expertise and promote our foodie culture.
- Collaborate with our Category Managers and Account Executives to provide expert advice, training, and support to our customers across all segments, from convenience stores to fine dining establishments. Includes travel throughout New England.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest culinary trends, techniques, and industry developments to ensure our offerings remain cutting-edge and competitive.
- Represent Dennis Food Service at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings, delivering dynamic presentations and demonstrations.
- Maintain and optimize the Dennis test kitchen, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Utilize the Dennis test kitchen to prepare food samples, tastings, and culinary demonstrations for Dennis employees, fostering a vibrant food culture and allowing staff to experience our product offerings firsthand.
- Coordinate with our vendor partners to develop product applications, recipes, and promotional content that showcase applications for their offerings.
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree / formal culinary education required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen
- Exceptional knowledge of food ingredients, recipe development, and food cost management.
- Passion for food of all types, with a keen interest in exploring new flavors, techniques, and culinary traditions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
- Comfortable with on-camera work and creating compelling multimedia content for various digital platforms.
- Willingness to travel throughout New England to connect with our customers and represent Dennis Food Service.
- A dynamic personality that combines the technical knowledge with enthusiasm
